  Scripture for the week
You Are More Valuable Than You Think

2 Cor 4:7: But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. (KJV)

Today’s scripture is a reminder to every born again believer that there is a treasure on the inside of you.

The world and all those who are blind will foolishly abuse people and things that appear to be of no material value. Some of the most undesirable travel locations contain some of the world’s greatest treasure. Some of the most unpopular people in society are walking around with the world’s greatest treasure. However, every child of God from the who’s who to the back pew in the Lord’s church is carrying precious cargo on the inside.

One of the greatest treasures in this world before the arrival of Jesus Christ was the Ark of the Covenant. The ark would be kept first in the tabernacle of Moses, in a place designated the holy of holies where only the high priest could enter and draw near to offer sacrifices for the sins of the people. The Ark of the Covenant was where God chose to dwell among His people. In today’s world many have overlooked the value of where God chooses to make habitation. Although God fills all space and time, there is a difference between his omnipresence and his manifest presence or place where he chooses to dwell. Jesus Christ was the last sacrifice for sin that will ever be accepted from God for all of mankind (Hebrews 10:26). Because of this sacrifice God’s spirit has been poured out upon all men, and He now lives in all who confess Jesus Christ as Lord.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says this, “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.” This makes you and I living, breathing, walking and talking arks of the covenant. Wherever God dwells is the Holy Place. When you received the Holy Spirit, you received Him into your spirit, which lives in you forever (John 14:16- 17). God’s people used to have to travel for miles to get to the temple to worship God. Now we can worship God from the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, thanks to Jesus Christ because we are the temples of God in the earth! Do not allow the devil to deceive you. You are closer to God through Jesus Christ than mankind has ever been! 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 says, “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;” The greater one lives on the inside of you. Even though the temple of your body may be passing through some rough times, the rough times will never separate you from the love of God! He is with you and in you mighty man of valor! He is with you and in you mighty woman of valor! Keep on blessing His Holy Name! You are more valuable than what the devil in the world wants you to believe! You are carrying cargo that will not rest until you are looking eyeball to eyeball at Jesus Christ as the completed work of the word of God! That’s a good place to shout right there! Glory to God! Hallelujah!
Grace and Peace,
